Friday September 23rd saw the Year 12 Graduation Assembly for students from MET School’s Goulburn Campus. As with all OneSchool campuses around Australia, our Year 12 students are gearing up for their HSC finals scheduled for the end of the year. The assembly was held to acknowledge all their hard work not only for this year, but the previous 12 years, as well as give them our best wishes when sitting the exams at the end of Term 4.
On hand was local state MP, The Honourable Pru Goward, who delivered an impromptu speech to all those attending. In the speech, she urged graduates to keep true to the morals and beliefs that the community values. She was also impressed by the ethos and values espoused by OneSchool, and thought our Learning Centre, Tech rooms and provision of video conferencing (VC) were excellent.
Ms Goward also took the occasion to
talk about the future challenges that lie ahead for all students when they
leave school. There are times when you
might struggle or feel lonely, but that when these times do occur, remember you
are never really lonely if you are true to your faith.
Ms Goward wears many hats in the NSW Parliament including that of Minister of Prevention of Domestic Violence, Minister for Medical Research, Minister for Women, Assistant Minister for Health and Minister for Mental Health.
