On Wednesday 26th August, years 9 and 10 Commerce students delivered a spectacular Market Day!
Restricted to a $300 investment and limited selling time as part of their 'Running a Small Business' assessment, the Commerce students excelled. Most groups opted to sell food, wowing customers with the quality of products on offer. There were succulent burgers, sliders, sausages and chicken nuggets; delicious churros, cupcakes, mud cakes, pretsels and donuts; mouthwatering treats such as chocolate dipped strawberries, mars bar slice, toffee apples and hot chips; thirst quenching drinks such as milkshakes, ice coffee, lemonade and tea; as well as unique products such as nuts and bolts, pickled cucumbers and brownie kits. Not forgetting the heaps and heaps of lollies!
Once eating had finished, many different competitions were on offer. On top of this, the students demonstrated excellent preparation, group work, customer service and selling techniques. The day was a great success and was enjoyed and appreciated by all students and the community.
