On Monday 26th July, Years 7 and 8 celebrated Bastille Day with a selection of French foods, fashions and sports. It was great to see the students enjoying themselves, they certainly showed enthusiasm for the celebrations.
The information posters they created were wonderful, as were the meals and fashions prepared. Some students were even brave enough to eat escargot (snails). The event was a great way to introduce French food and clothes to the students before undertaking units or work on these topics later this term. I don't think the boys liked the snails!
